I am the father of two boys, 5 and 8, and married to their wonderful mom. I've been a stay-at-home dad now for 8 years. Now that both boys will be in school full time in the near future, I'm embarking on a new business endeavor: building a tiny house to sell.

    My wife and I have looked with considerable interest in the Tiny House that you built. I would like to get more information about the structure as we would place it in a VERY off-grid area. We would like to converse in private rather than aa public forum.

    1. Thank you Elaine. This has been a fun project. As far as the final price – it’ll depend on the total material costs. Right now I am starting the plumbing. Once that’s done I have the electrical, flooring, kitchen cabinets and fixtures some additional interior trim and finally paint. I imagine the final price will be in the neighborhood of $40k to $60k, depending on the cost and quality of the final materials and fixtures. If you’re in the neighborhood feel free to stop by and I’ll show you around.

  3. Hi Jason,
    We are neighbors. I came across your house last night while taking a walk through the neighborhood. I have had dreams of building my own house for nearly 15 years now, but have never met anyone doing it. If you’re willing, I’d love to come pick your brain about it and see it in person just to truly get a feel for the space. Architectural renderings are one thing, but being in a space is another. Please let me know if you’d be open to this. I have so many questions 🙂
